Fishing Report from TPWD (Apr. 10)

GOOD. Water clear; 62 degrees; 1.01 feet above pool. White bass are still spawning with fish chasing shad along the shoreline. Fish are biting limetreuse shad imitations, or rattle traps. Later in the day move deeper with slabs. Shad spawn will start soon. Catfish are beneath the white bass hitting punch bait or cut bait. Bass can be caught from the bank along the riprap near boat ramps. Crappie are related to rocky outcroppings and rock structure. Report by Omar Cotter, Luck O’the Irish Fishing Guide Service.
