Celebrate America's freedom with the Town of Flower Mound at Independence Fest on Sunday, July 4, 2021 at Bakersfield Park!

This year's event will continue to build on the success of previous years to be a great day of celebration, and, as always, admission and parking are FREE! A full day of activities begins with the annual Children's Parade on Saturday, July 3, and concludes on Sunday, July 4 with a fantastic evening program of live music featuring performances by Le Freak and headline act Josh Abbott Band. The festival will also include a kid's zone, car show, a showcase of local vendors, food trucks, and a fireworks finale at around 9:50 p.m. Gates open at Bakersfield Park at 5 p.m.

Fishing Report from TPWD (Sep. 10)

FAIR. Water clear to slightly stained; 80s degrees; 0.29 feet below pool. White bass are being caught out in the mid humps anywhere from 20-27 feet down on the sides of the humps, not so much at the top, but on the sides. Jigging spoons are working. They seem to be just up and down lately, but right now they're going good. Water clarity is good and all boat ramps are in good shape. Report by Omar Cotter, Luck O'the Irish Fishing Guide Service.
