Lake Grapevine Fishing Report from TPWD (Sep. 18)

FAIR. Water normal stain; 82 degrees; 0.70 feet below pool. White bass are moving fast but if you find the right school and structure the fish will leave and come back. White bass are good in 22 feet of water with white jigging spoons. Fish are feeding well. A few catfish can be caught mixed in with the sand bass. Bank anglers report catches of smallmouth bass in a cove behind the Silver Lake Marina. All boat ramps are operational and the lake is in good shape.
