Grapevine Lake is a US Army Corps of Engineers lake adjacent to Grapevine Texas, 20 miles northwest of Dallas. The 7,280 acre lake offers a number of recreation opportunities with 3 full service marinas including 1,400 boat slips, 30 miles of hiking, biking and equestrian trails and primitive camping, prepared camping sites, trailer / RV camping and cabins. Fishing Report from TPWD (Jul. 28)

FAIR. Water lightly stained; 86 degrees; 0.10 feet low. Largemouth bass are fair on flukes, shaky heads, dark blue or purple Texas rigged plastic worms and diving crankbaits near vegetation, points and drop-offs. White bass are fair in water depths 20-30 feet near main lake channels, flats and points using slabs and jigging spoons. Crappie are good on minnows in marinas and brush piles. Catfish are fair on chicken liver, live bait and earthworms.
