Lake Grapevine Fishing Report from TPWD (Feb. 19)

FAIR. Water stained; 52 degrees; 4.10’ high. Largemouth bass are fair on Carolina rigged plastic worms and crankbaits. Fish rocky areas and creeks, and find shallower structure as cover and warmer water. White bass are fair in deeper water 20-30’. Look for bait balls and fish under with a slab and jig combo. Crappie are fair on minnows and jigs over structure in 25-32 feet. Catfish are good on live and prepped bait in most parts of the lake. High water is challenging fisherman, causing inconsistency.
